Another system I studied had you visualize a picture in your mind about what you wanted to be, do and have. Supposedly something magical would happen if I did this visualization twice a day, every day.

Nice idea in theory, as it did feel good, but it didn't get me to actually DO anything, so nothing ever happened. So much for the widely promoted Law of Attraction!!

Still another system I studied said the world was just an illusion (a bit like in the Matrix film) and that nothing was real. In this imaginary world I was the illusionist with the magical power to make anything happen just by thinking about it!

That one never had a chance with me, it was too way out there. I'm an open-minded guy but I couldn't find any practical use from that type of thinking, other than a quick fire route to a mental hospital!

BUT THE ADVICE WASN'T ALL BAD

Don't get me wrong, just because every system I tried wasn't perfect, I did learn a LOT about what I was capable of and how my mind worked.

It's just that there were enough "missing pieces" from each system I tried... that it prevented it from working for me "as-is."

I'm sure you can relate to what I'm talking about.

Then one day, about five years ago, I had an amazing experience that just opened up a new door in my mind.

IT ALL BEGAN WITH A SIMPLE DEMONSTRATION

I was attending a small local seminar - the following describes what happened that day....



The speaker who stood before us held a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the audience if the jar was full

We all agreed that it was

The speaker then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar

He shook the jar lightly and the pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls
